Greetings to everyone that is, in one way or another, getting involved in the improvement of our living conditions and well-being. We are here, trying to inspire as many people as possible, for the change of our currently destructive ways of dealing with the Earth’s limited resources. Here, we will be looking in debt for a possible solution to major issues, and additionally, we will openheartedly welcome any kind of innovative ideas, products or technologies from anyone who wishes to connect with us. We will be also meeting you with the Sustainable Initiatives Fund (SIFT), that is based in Christchurch, Canterbury and has been continuously supportive for various projects concerning environmental sustainability. The main focus of the organization has been the Canterbury region, but with an interest, concerning the general well-being of every living thing, everywhere around the world. The organization is a non-profit trust that has been funding initiatives for a successful long-term environmental benefit, concerning our everyday life and also businesses.
Our Goal
We would like to encourage and stimulate everyone to be more sensitive and responsible towards the environment. People feel the need to understand why any kind of action is important at the first place, and this is why we would like to provide every reader with the right knowledge and understanding, so eventually, everyone can make a personal choice for himself. Our actions had caused poor air quality, climate change, soil erosion and so on. Our water resources have been on the verge of a constant threat, along with our forests being cut down unnecessarily. What we need is to try and interact with the planet in a more responsible matter, and also to avoid putting at risk the ability of future generations to meet their needs. There are loads of things we can do in order to achieve a greener world and what we need right now is to be more united in this matter, as it is concerning all of us, after all. Examples of good practices are simple things, like to always properly recycle electronic waste, same as any recyclable types of plastics, not letting any hazardous substances reaching into landfills and to become a threat to nature, to animals and eventually – to us. The truth is that it’s not that hard and we can definitely achieve it.
